Dabbs Greer (†90), actually Robert William Greer, could look back on hundreds of film and television projects throughout his life. The actor was already on stage as a child.

After securing an extra role in 'Jesse James' in the late 1930s, he appeared regularly in supporting roles in front of the camera from the 1950s onwards. 

Here's how Dabbs Greer's career continued after 'Little House'

He was seen in the shows such as 'Lassie', the 'Dick van Dyke Show' and ' Adventures of Superman'. He also took on a few series roles in 'Bonanza' and 'Gunsmoke' before he was able to secure the part of "Reverend Alden" in the seventies. It wasn't the only time Dabbs played a minister.

After 'Little House on the Prairie' his career continued to climb. Dabbs Greer celebrated successes with 'Picket Fences' and the 1981 series version of 'Charlie's Angels'. 

One of his biggest roles followed in 1999: In 'The Green Mile' he portrayed the old "Paul Edgecomb", whose younger counterpart was played by Tom Hanks!

After that, he was only seen in a few projects, most recently in 2003 in the series 'Lizzie McGuire'. He died in California in 2007 at the age of 90, after a heart and kidney disease. Dabbs Greer will forever be remembered for his variety of memorable roles.
