- Alison Arngrim famously starred in Little House on the Prairie
- Arngrim has recently published a memoir
- She shares a story of a co-star who once insulted her
It turns out the pen really is mightier than the sword. In her book, Confessions of a Prairie Bitch, Arngrim reveals that Melissa Sue Anderson who played "Mary Ingalls" on the show, once called her stupid. Alison tried to approach her co-star to ask about backgammon, which she heard Anderson liked to play...
Talk about not getting along!
Arngrim asked how the game worked, and Anderson reportedly said she wasn't surprised her co-star couldn't play the game. Here is where the whole thing becomes ugly. "I think you're a lot backward. In fact, you're quite stupid", Anderson allegedly said. But that wasn't the origin of their feud.
Also interesting:
Their aversion for one another stems all the way back to their first encounter. The first meeting between them was rather tense and Anderson is said to not have been very warm smiling only artificially. And Anderson reportedly once threatened to actually hit her during an argument!
