Lily Allen has shared the details of her first date with her now-husband David Harbour! As Entertainment Tonight reports, Allen opened up about meeting the Stranger Things star in a new interview, explaining why the moment was such a big deal for her!
Allen had "never been on a date" before meeting Harbour
Allen told The Sunday Times that she and Harbour connected through the dating app Raya, and their first date was a memorable one! "We went to the Wolseley -- I’m so posh! -- and there’s this middle table in the middle section that’s underneath a clock," the singer said, "and I remember looking at him, and it reminded me of Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic, you know? When she’s going to meet him under the clock." However, Allen was nervous about going out with Harbour since she was new to the dating game!
"And, by the way, it was my first date ever. I had never been on a date!" she admitted. "I was so anxious. He was, like, 'Have you been here before?' and I said, 'Yeah, I love this place, my kids love the pancakes here,' and he was, like, 'Oh, you have kids?'" she said. As it turned out though, Harbour already knew the answer to that question! "He just didn’t want me to think he’d been googling me," Allen explained. "So he lied. I was, like, 'F**k you!'"
Allen says she's "in a really good place" with her family life
Allen and Harbour tied the knot in September 2020 with a private Las Vegas wedding, and have been enjoying life together at home as a family! "He’s sober. I’m sober. We get up early," the singer shared. "We do stuff with the kids." As Entertainment Tonight mentions, Allen has two kids from a past relationship— Ethel and Marnie. And when it came to the topic of possibly wanting to have more children in the future, Allen gave a candid response.
"I think so," she said. "Especially now Marnie's getting so big. It's like, 'No, my babies!' I miss little terrors running around the house." However, the singer explained that since she's currently enjoying where she's at in life, it may be some time before she and Harbour consider expanding their family. "I'm in a really good place," she shared. "I don't know if I'd mess with my hormones, at this particular point."
