Bobby Berk's life before fame
By the age of 15, struggles with Bobby and his family forced him to leave home. While working at the restaurant Applebee's, he would often sleep in his car, or occasionally find a friend's house to crash at. In 2003, Bobby relocated to the city that never sleeps: New York City. With just $100 in his pocket, he found work at various home-furnishing stores and ended up working his way up as creative director at the high-end home store, Portico.
While Portico closed down its business in 2006, Bobby found this as a new opportunity to start his own online store, Bobby Berk Home, that same year. From 2007-2010, he successfully opened up his own stores from Manhattan to Miami to Atlanta. He then focused his career on his interior design services based in Los Angeles.
Today, Bobby has made a great impact with his interior design knowledge in helping strangers transform their lives on Netflix's Queer Eye. The series has won an incredible seven Primetime Emmy Awards since it's release in 2018.
Bobby is also a man in love! He's been married to Dewey Do for about 8 years now. The pair is semi-private about their personal life, but we can definitely tell they travel a lot and seem to be going strong in their relationship!
The pair currently resides in Los Angeles. If there's ever a story about a comeback kid, it's definitely Bobby Berk! We, like many others, are impatiently waiting for the next season of Queer Eye and happy tears.
