In an exclusive interview with 'The Sun,' Kate Cassidy spoke about her deep grief and the unexpected turn of events. "I didn’t believe it at first. I thought it was just a rumor." she said.
Cassidy, who had been in a relationship with Payne since 2022, described the singer's death as "tragic accident". She emphasized that she "would never have left Argentina" if she had known that this would happen. Cassidy had returned to Florida to look after their doeg Nala. "I had a responsibility, we had a responsibility" she explained. "Liam was in such a good headspace when I left Argentina."
