Fans were shocked last weekend after Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's breakup was confirmed, only after eight months of being together as husband and wife. Yesterday the singer opened up about her split from Liam, but now the Australian actor has broken his silence as well.
Liam Hemsworth: "Nothing but health and happiness"
In his most recent Instagram update, Liam Hemsworth wished nothing but happiness to Miley: "Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false.
Peace and Love.", wrote the actor.
Liam and Miley want to focus on their careers
It is true that their breakup still surprises us, but some people actually saw it coming. Some fans believe that Liam and Miley were not on the same page and that's why they decided to separate; now they want to evolve and change as individuals, and to focus on themselves and their careers.
Liam and Miley met in 2009 while filming Nicholas Sparks' movie The Final Song. They were engaged in 2012 but split, and eventually got back together in 2015. They got married in December 2018 in Tennessee. Miley was recently spotted without her engagement ring and vacationing in Italy with the newly-single star Kaitlynn Carter. Meanwhile, Liam has spent his time in his native Australia with his brother Chris Hemsworth.
