Sad news for Tony Dow from Leave It to Beaver
Tony Dow is now battling cancer, though he didn't specify what type in his announcement. Dow, born in 1945, is primarily known for playing "Wally Cleaver," the older brother of "The Beaver" (Jerry Mathers) on Leave It to Beaver.
Dow starred in all six seasons of Leave It to Beaver from 1957 to 1963. Afterward, he played "Chet" on the soap opera Never Too Young, and he returned as "Wally" in The New Leave It to Beaver in the 1980s.
