The groupie turned rock star, Courtney Love has had a wild and perpetual bad girl lifestyle and was proud of it. Now she is sharing some of her greatest regrets.
Courtney Love Slams Fling With Steve Coogan
The widow of treasured Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, Courtney Love had a bad reputation to uphold for many years. Her years of drug abuse trickled into her love life with Kurt and she temporarily lost custody of her daughter Frances Bean Cobain because of it.
After Kurt's tragic and mysterious death, the founder of Hole, spiraled. Now at 56, she is speaking out about her chaotic past. On an Instagram post, Courtney captioned a photo with, "A happy Australian cruising around, Australia... "America's Sweetheart" having her revenge, on, Melbourne ? AMAZING. ! Maybe one day I won't hate that record. It had some good songs . But like Steve Coogan, or crack, it's one of my life's great shames. Just the period, sloppiness, men, money, drugs, nightmare.... although Chateau Miraval (where we made it) doesn't suck."
She is referring to her short relationship with the hilarious British actor Steve Coogan. The two had a short tryst years ago but Courtney confused fans by telling Britain's News of the World: "I'm pregnant. I only found out 72 hours ago. I've only told three people and you're the fourth. I haven't told Steve yet. I've been really unslutty and really picky. I haven't been with another man for a year, which is how I know the baby is his."
"Steve is not the sort of man I usually go for. Honey, name the 20 sexiest men in the world and I've slept with them. But I was lonely at the time and he made me laugh. He was the most magical person I've met in a really long time." According to Mail on Sunday, soon after making this claim, she was admitted to rehab for her long time and extensive drug addiction. Her rep released a statement saying, "Courtney Love wishes to make it clear that she denies recent stories suggesting she is pregnant or has had a relationship with Steve Coogan."
Steve Coogan on Courtney Love
Steve himself had to do some damage control and was even asked by Piers Morgan about the whole ordeal in an interview for GQ. Piers asked, "How true was the Courtney story, then?" to which Steve replied, "Some of it was true, most of it was bu*****s. To borrow the title of the film, it was 20 percent c***, and 80 percent bull."
Courtney later told the Sunday Times, "That was a two-week fling and we didn't even exchange numbers at the end of it. That was my last dance with cocaine." Steve has been doing his best to distance himself from the whole ordeal since so we will have to wait and see if he will respond to Courtney calling him one of her "great shames."
