Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have never shied away from talking about sobriety, and it would seem they have that open-dialogue with their children as well! On Shepard's 16th sobriety anniversary, he was surprised with a sweet card from his daughter.

It's always important to remind your children you're human too, and it seems Dax Shepard has explored the difficult topic surrounding his sobriety with his children!

Following his 16th sobriety anniversary, Shepard and Kristen Bell's daughter makes a sweet and sentimental card reminding her daddy she's proud.

The sweetest celebratory card!

Like any mother, Kristen Bell was eager to share on social media how sweet her baby is! Daughter of Bell and Dax Shepard was quick to let her daddy know just how proud she was on his 16th anniversary of being sober.

On a white sheet of paper, their lovely daughter wrote, "Happy sobriety birthday dady" in red marker, and on the other side drew the Harry Potter character "Ron Weasley".

"Today is my husband's 16th sobriety birthday," Bell captioned the photos. "My daughter woke him up with this sign, and a sketch of the one and only Ronald Weasley (absolutely random, and also perfect)."

The star continued, "Happy birthday Daxy. Thank you for dedicating your life to the hard and wonderful work of sobriety, so that we could share it with you."

Both Bell and Shepard have been outspoken towards addiction and sobriety. In 2018, Bell said to People that she recognizes the hard work her husband puts in every day to keep their family a priority.

"I know how much effort has to be put into staying sober," Bell said at the time. "I don't mean that to be like, I come home and see him shaking and looking at a whiskey ad or something, [but] there are different elements you have to deal with when you're staying sober. It's a ton of mental control and evolution."

She also added, "I’m extraordinarily happy that he has stayed sober because that’s what allows me to have him in my life as a husband and as a father."
