Kristen Bell and her husband Dax Shepard are stepping up to help renters avoid financial hardship! As Entertainment Tonight reports, the couple own several properties in Los Angeles, California through their company, Pringus Property LLC.
Due to the global coronavirus situation, Bell and Shepard decided that they would make an extremely considerate gesture... waiving tenants' rent for the month of April! Tenants were notified of the good news thanks to Shepard's sister, who acts as property manager for the buildings.
Bell and Shepard's message "expressed empathy and encouragement"
Bell and Shepard's decision to temporarily waive their tenants' rent is one that will no doubt be looked on favourably by the people living in their properties. It comes while residents of Los Angeles are restricted from leaving their homes, excepting essential outings. In a statement for Entertainment Tonight, Bell's representative confirmed the generous gesture. "Kristen and Dax are waiving the April rent for the buildings in L.A. they own," Bell's rep said. "The manager (Dax's sister) emailed all tenants this weekend to give them the good news".
Her rep also went on to speak to the overall tone of the message and its response to the current situation. "The message expressed empathy and encouragement," Bell's rep said, "and promised to work with residents going forward as best as possible as everyone learns to adjust to the public health crisis".
Bell has also provided financial aid in this time of crisis, sharing on Instagram that she (and her kids!) gave a generous donation to No Kid Hungry.
