Kirk Douglas and Anne Buydens Love Story
Anne Buydens was born April 23rd, 1919 in Germany, eventually moving to Belgium, Switzerland, and Paris where she learned the languages of each country. She and Spartacus star Kirk Douglas met in Paris on the 1953 film set Act of Love, while both were in relationships with other people.

They each eventually broke off their relationships to be with each other and married a year later in 1954. The two had been inseparable ever since. They were blissfully married for 66 years before Kirk passed in February. Kirk told People magazine the secret to keeping a loving marriage "We solve our disagreements with a kiss."
Kirk Douglas' Widow Anne Celebrates 101st Birthday
Anne celebrated her milestone birthday in true social distancing fashion! With a beautiful and loving procession passing by her. Each slowly gave her messages of love and gifts, including her grandson Cameron Douglas. He happily waited in line for almost 30 minutes just to get his moment with his "Oma".
Catherine Zeta-Jones also posted a birthday dedication to Anne on her Instagram with the caption "Happy Birthday to my extraordinary step mother in Law. Our Queen, our Oma."
Happy 101st Birthday, Anne Buydens-Douglas! Anne has been an incredible inspiration for many, with years of philanthropic work like that of her breast cancer research charity, Alzheimer's disease unit at the Motion Picture & Television Fund home, feeding homeless, and even rebuilding children's playground in Los Angeles.
