"Shake It Off" singer Taylor Swift and "Bound 2" singer Kanye West have had a rocky relationship since he interrupted her acceptance speech at the 2009 VMA's. Kanye apologized and the two seemed friendly after that incident.

Since then, Kanye released his 2016 hit song "Famous" which features the catchy lyric "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. I made that bi*** famous." Taylor's die-hard fans swiftly came to her defense and attacked Kanye on social media. Taylor released a statement saying she never gave Kanye her blessing to use her name in the song.
Kim Kardashian Defends Husband With Receipts
After relentless digs at his character, Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian released footage of the phone call between Kanye and Kim while he was making the song to which Taylor can clearly be heard saying "If people ask me about it, I think it would be great for me to be like, ‘Look, he called me and told me the line before it came out. Like, joke’s on you guys, we’re fine." Taylor's impressive PR team changed the story to be focused on the fact that he used the word "bitch" when referring to Taylor.

Years went by without issue, perhaps with a few indirect lyrical digs at each other. Until now, Taylor Swift's publicist posted the full footage of the Kanye and Taylor phone call that Taylor originally denied happened. Not much more was shown, except that Kanye did not mention the word "bitch", yet the main point of the lyric, the *ahem* sex part was told to Taylor. Taylor doubled down on this, even posting on Instagram saying she had been "framed" and "illegally recorded".
Kim let her frustrations fly on twitter:
Kim added "Kanye as an artist has every right to document his musical journey and process, just like she recently did through her documentary" and that "the call between the two of them would have remained private or would have gone in the trash had she not lied & forced me to defend him."
She didn't stop there:
Kim was fired up! She is Kanye's first line of defense, and boy does she come through for him!
Although it is creating tension, the publicity may be a blessing for the both of them, as Taylor has many musical projects including her award winning film Miss Americana and is touring for her latest album and Kim has her families newest season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians coming out this week.
