Katharine McPhee has no time for people hating on her husband! On Wednesday, McPhee took to Instagram to address the criticism David Foster received after sharing a recent photo, acknowledging how ridiculous she finds the situation.
McPhee addresses her weight struggles in post
McPhee and Foster ended up in the headlines this week after a photo Foster posted on Instagram. The musician shared a picture of his wife in a black bikini and sunglasses on Monday, but it was his caption that drew the most attention. "What baby!" he wrote, referencing the baby weight that McPhee has lost since they welcomed their son in 2019.
However, the comment unexpectedly received a great deal of criticism. The Country Comfort star then responded with a photo of herself lounging in a red swimsuit, along with a candid message. She said it's "so dumb" that Foster's comment has received attention, making it clear that they're unapologetic. "I’m sorry but we are not sorry," she said.
McPhee then shared that she's "struggled with weight my whole 20s and 30," explaining that she lost the baby weight by working out rather than dieting. "Stop being so offended by what people post who have zero impact on your life and move on," she told critics, referring to society as "overly sensitive." She ended her post by referencing Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off," saying "haters gonna hate."
