- Liam Payne is dead
- He was only 31 years old
- Police is looking for witnesses
Argentinian police are investigating the sudden death of former One Direction member Liam Payne, who tragically passed away at the age of 31. The singer fell from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, suffering fatal injuries.
Police seeking two women
Investigators are looking for two women believed to have seen Liam at the hotel the night before his death, according to The Daily Mail. While there is no evidence that these women were directly involved, authorities hope they can help reconstruct the singer's final moments.
A spokesperson for the public prosecutor's office stated that "Everything indicates that the musician was alone" at the time of his death. However, they are also investigating whether third parties may have been involved leading up to the incident. The autopsy revealed no signs of external injuries suggesting foul play, and the injuries were consistent with a fall from a height.
Hotel guest describes tragic details
Before Liam fell several floors and died at the hotel on October 16, another guest heard "a lot of noise" coming from his room, including "a really loud, violent scream."
The hotel guest told 'People': "I thought it was construction". They witnessed hotel staff going in and out of Liam's room, where "even more noise" was heard around 4:30 p.m. The police were called to the scene shortly after 5 p.m. local time, and Liam is said to have died shortly afterward.
The guest "then heard sirens" but initially thought nothing of it until they "came down the elevator" and saw that "the whole street was full of cop cars"
