Jussie Smollett Issues Statement After All Charges Against Him Are Dropped
Earlier this year Jussie Smollett was accused of staging a hate crime against himself. Since then, the charges have been dropped and people in Chicago are now actively protesting. The charges were dropped for a $10,000 bond and the fact that Smollett must complete his community service hours.
State Attorney Kim Foxx is being protested against
Hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside of State Attorney Kim Foxx’s office on Monday to protest. Foxx recused herself from the case in February and has denied being involved in the decision to drop it. The Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P.) announced they would be protesting Foxx in outrage over the case’s handling. Watch the video above for the full story.
