Julia Louis-Dreyfus isn't a fan of Donald Trump's now-infamous dance moves! As ET Canada shares, Louis-Dreyfus took to social media on Sunday to respond to a tweet comparing Trump's dancing to that of her Seinfeld character "Elaine," and she certainly had something to say about it!
Louis-Dreyfus jokes that Trump's wife "deserves an Emmy"
Louis-Dreyfus' character "Elaine" on Seinfeld is known for her awful dance moves, which is why Trump's odd dancing at rallies has been compared to hers! After many people caught onto the comparison over the weekend, the actress herself took to Twitter to share her own thoughts— and they were less than favourable!
"First he stole all of Veep. Now he’s stealing from Seinfeld," Louis-Dreyfus tweeted. "Melania deserves an Emmy for acting like she’s attracted to THIS." One of her Seinfeld co-stars, Jason Alexander, also weighed in on the president's bizarre viral dancing! "Julia was working hard to be that awful," he said. "I feel like these are his best moves."
Trump's dancing criticized by talk show host Stephen Colbert
Louis-Dreyfus and Alexander weren't the only celebrities to comment on Trump's questionable dancing! As ET Canada mentions, Stephen Colbert also addressed the president's moves during his monologue in Monday's episode of The Late Show. "He makes the inflatable tube man look like Fred Astaire!" the talk show host exclaimed.
That wasn't the only unflattering comparison Colbert made. "I’ve seen more rhythmic movement from a potato rolling around in the backseat of my car!" he continued. Colbert also questioned how Trump seemed incapable of performing even the simplest of dances— the Village People's '70s hit "Y.M.C.A." "How do you mess up dancing to 'YMCA'?" Colbert asked during the segment. "It comes with instructions!"
