In a heartfelt moment on 'Loose Women', Joan Collins struggled to contain her emotions as she shared the devastating impact of breast cancer on her family.
She said: 'I lost my mother and sister Jacqui to breast cancer and several friends. My sister Jacqui said to me six weeks before she died – "I have got stage 4."
Her sister did not undergo her breast cancer tests
She revealed the heart-wrenching story of her sister, Jackie opted against receiving mammograms, ultimately leading to her late-stage breast cancer diagnosis. Joan recounted their conversation, saying, "I lost my mother, my sister Jackie, and several friends to breast cancer. It's a ruthless disease, but it doesn't have to be."

Tears welled up in Joan's eyes, her voice quivering with emotion as she continued, "I vividly recall the moment Jackie confided in me about her stage four breast cancer diagnosis, just six weeks before she passed away. I asked her, 'Why didn't you have mammograms like I've been urging you to do for the past 20 years?' She replied, 'I didn't want to.' She felt a lump but hoped it would vanish on its own."
She encourages all women to check their breasts
Joan's heartfelt plea echoed through her tears, "Even now, thinking about it brings me to tears. Every woman should be aware of this – get regular mammograms and prioritize self-examinations. It's your life."
