As the world hunkered down amid the Coronavirus pandemic, even celebs found they had a massive change to their routine, including mealtime!
Jennifer Lopez revealed to People how she took this year to reconnect with her kids, and how nightly dinners as a family have become a huge blessing.
Jennifer Lopez's nightly routine became a blessing
Like most around the world, not a whole lot of after school activities and dinner outings took place, and even for A-listers like Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, time spent at home meant more time with their kids!
Lopez sat down with People and opened up about being able to spend more time with her family amid social distancing.
Before the pandemic, Lopez said sitting down for meals with her whole crew, Rodriguez's daughters, Natasha, 15, and Ella, 12, and her own twins, Max and Emme, 12, didn't happen often.
"That's been a huge blessing for us during this time," the 51-year-old actress and singer said of her new nightly routine.
"Alex and I have both separately and now together lived a gypsy-type life, as both of our careers require tons of travel," she added. "The blessing of the quarantine for us was having dinner with the kids every night, for months and months."
"I don't think that would've ever happened, and probably reminded us how much we need to do that more," she continued.
Even when things "go back to normal," Lopez still hopes that they can continue their new routine.
"The truth is, those moments are the ones that matter the most," she said.
As for what's on the table during these family moments, it's no surprise that the dancer keeps it healthy.
"We try not to overdo it on the sweets and the salts and the sugars and the carbs," she said.
For her, it's been all about staying active and finding balance in their lives and making sure that they're not over-indulging.
"It was about kind of trying to find a balance, of indulging myself and comforting myself. But at the same time, staying on my program and being ready," she concluded.
Lopez revealed she and her children are staying busy and dancing along to all of the latest TikTok challenges.
