Critically acclaimed actor Jeff Bridges has just posted to social media announcing his scary news. As sad as it is, he has managed to stay Jeff and be positive and grateful.
Jeff Bridges Lymphoma Diagnosis
Jeff began his post with a reference to his hilarious and iconic role of "The Dude" from the Coen Brothers The Big Lebowski. He said, "As the Dude would say... New S**T has come to light. I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good."
The 70-year-old True Grit actor explained to fans that he has begun treatment and will be keeping everyone updated. He also made sure to express gratitude, even thanking fans for their kind words in the comments.
In a joint statement to Us Weekly, FX, Touchstone Television, Hulu, and FXP said "Our thoughts go out to Jeff and his family during this challenging time and they have our love and support. We wish him a safe and full recovery. And, as Jeff always says, 'We are all in this together.' Jeff, we are all in this together with you."
Jeff has been married to his wife Susan Geston since 1977 and the pair have 3 incredible daughters, 39-year-old Isabelle, 37-year-old Jessica, and 35-year-old Haley.
