Jason Priestley and Shannen Doherty starred together as the twins "Brandon" and "Brenda Walsh" on the hit series Beverly Hills, 90210. The two shared a close bond on and off-screen. Now, Jason Priestley is sharing his thoughts on the saddening news of Doherty's cancer diagnosis.
In an interview with People, Priestley had this to say:
"Shannen was a big part of my life. Shannen and I will always have a bond that is very meaningful. I’m very heartbroken about the news and I wish her and her family the best in this very difficult time."

Priestley also reached out to Doherty after he heard the news. He noted that he had not yet heard back from her when he spoke with People. "She’s overwhelmed with well wishers and with people reaching out to her. I haven’t heard back from her yet, but I’m sure that I will very soon," he said.
Priestley and Doherty were recently reunited on-screen for the reboot show BH90210, which aired for a single season on Fox last year.
