The 42-year-old actress said that she went "on a couple dates" with Bachelor alum Nick Viall, who Jones previously had told the media that they were just friends. Now, the real juicy details revealed themselves...

January Jones dated Nick Viall

The Mad Men star talked about how at first, she really didn't like Nick on any of the shows. One season that he was on, she "got really into" and ended up expressing her opinions publicly about Nick. According to January, the whole reason they connected was because Nick was trying to fix her negative perceptions of him.

"Nick slid into my DMs, and he’s like, ‘I’m so sorry that your perception of me is so negative, I’d love to take you out to coffee and see if I can change your mind.' And I squealed." Jones revealed according to People. The actress added that she said "I hate that guy" and it was her sister that convinced her to go out with him.

Nick Viall wanted to change January's negative perception

"So I agreed to go on a date with him, or to drinks or whatever, and as I met him I was rounding the corner and I saw him and he has a very distinct walk, and I had this instinct to, like, run up to him and wrap my legs around his waist, do you know, like they do [on the show]? I stopped myself," Jones said.

The first date was apparently good and she was able to talk about some insider info on the show and the Bachelor franchise as a whole which she really enjoyed. She also noticed that Nick isn't the villain he is cast to be on the show... in real life: "The thing that attracted me to Nick was he seemed like — I mean he was cast as the ‘villain’ — but he was actually, he had a bit of a brain, you know, so there was something else there."

Dating relationship is over

Their dating relationship however was short-lived and you can find the pair of them as friends still. January appeared on Nick's podcast The Viall Files last week to talk about the first night of Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor.
