The singer took to Instagram today to make an exciting two-part announcement. “I’ve heard all your wishes and now from my lips to your ears," she started off her post by saying, building anticipation. "I’m working on my new album and going on a brand new World Tour this summer!”

Janet Jackson revealed that the name of both her upcoming album and tour is Black Diamond, and it's a name that holds a lot of significance to her. That's because she personally connects to the symbolism of a black diamond!
“Black Diamonds are the toughest of all the diamonds, the hardest to cut,” Jackson went on to say. “I see that as the hardest to hurt or destroy. There is a lot that I have endured. I see myself as a Black Diamond in its purest form. I’m a rock, I have ruff edges but I keep moving forward. I want to show you my strength as well as give you strength.”

Jackson also shared a promotional poster for her tour that announced a bunch of North American concert dates, saying that European and more worldwide dates are still to come! As of now, it looks like her tour will kick off June 24th in Miami, Florida. Tickets are set to go on sale this Thursday, with a special presale tomorrow for her mailing list subscribers!
