Jake Gyllenhaal has had to shoot several intimate scenes in his 20-year career.
But one in particular seems to have stuck in his mind, and not really in a good way. He even said this sex scene "was torture," even though it was with one of the most beautiful women in the world.

On The Howard Stern Show, Gyllenhaal revealed that a steamy scene with Jennifer Aniston in the movie The Good Girl posed a real challenge to him over almost 20 years ago.
At the time, he was still a newcomer while Aniston was a superstar from her hit series Friends. In the film, Gyllenhaal and Aniston, 12 years his senior, act out an affair. How could that have been torture for the actor?
The reason is not that he disliked Aniston. On the contrary, he had a crush on the Friends star. "But it was not torture," he explained. "Come on, it was a mix of both."
That young actor would have been pretty nervous and he added that filming love scenes with the cast and crew around is "awkward."

Aniston, who was married to Brad Pitt at the time, wanted to make it all as easy as possible for her co-star. So she placed a pillow between herself and the actor, as Gyllenhaal reveals:
"She was very kind to suggest it before we began. That was just preemptive and used generally always when actually in a horizontal place in that movie."
But what about today, two decades later? Aniston is now divorced and single twice. Her marriage to Pitt ended in 2005, and so did her second to Justin Theroux in 2017.
Gyllenhaal, who had not had an official partner for some time, recently made his red carpet debut with his girlfriend Jeanne Cadieu.
