Beyoncé’s father quit his day job to be the girls’ manager full-time, and the trio of ladies travelled all across Texas in talent shows, singing competitions and more. Then, finally,  in 1996 Beyoncé Knowles and her girl group were signed on with Sony Music and moved to Atlanta to record their first-ever debut album under their new name, Destiny’s Child.
