The pressure was on, but with this look, it was impossible for people to look away! This couture ensemble was inspired by a 1947 fashion photo and made by Dior.

While Cardi B may not always be known for her subtly on the red carpet, in 2019 this rapper brought it all wearing a vintage Mugler Oyster dress. The dress was originally made for a couture runway in 1995 and Cardi rocked it the best way possible, showing off the dramatic black and pink gown and pearl accents!

When talking about why she went such a strange route on the red carpet, Björk said according to CR Fashion Book, "I was very aware when I went to the Awards that it would probably be my first and last time." Along with wearing this strange dress, Björk brought along six ostrich eggs she would "lay". She later said to the same publication that she was really surprised people took her seriously and that the whole thing was a joke.

The designer often made custom pieces for Cher, as well as the likes of Marilyn Monroe. Beyoncé, took the theme "China: Through The Looking Glass" very seriously, literally giving us a dress we could look through, with the delicate crystal jewels hiding hardly anything.

When you think of an Oscar gown, biker shorts don't really come into mind as being a part of it, but according to Demi Moore, that's exactly what this look needed! While some people hated it, many others were in awe about the fashion risk. The Oscar red carpet that year was floored by the stunning look, and the dress itself has gone down in many fashion history books. According to The Daily Telegraph, Halle Berry's look was voted the 8th best Oscar gown of all time, and the actress herself looked just as incredible as she accepted her own award for Best Actress for her work in Monster's Ball.
