Jennifer Lopez is a two-time Golden Globe nominated actress. She starred in Hustlers in 2019, which earned her the second of her two nominations.
But that was surprisingly not followed by a nomination at the 2020 Oscars. J-Lo's snub was a major story the day the nominations were announced.

Jennifer Lopez talks Hustlers Oscars snub
According to Billboard, Lopez recently opened up about the 2020 Oscars snub in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The acclaim and Golden Globe nomination for Hustlers led her to think she had a serious chance at an Oscar nomination.
"Most of my team has been with me for years, 20, 25 years — and I think they had a lot of hopes on that and they wanted it too, so I felt like I let everyone down a little bit," she said.
But she continued: "You realize you want people’s validation, you want people to say you did a good job and I realized, 'No, you don’t need that. You do this because you love it.' I don't need this award to tell me I’m enough."

The now 50-year-old singer and actress starred as "Ramona" in Hustlers last year. She did receive a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress for the movie, but did not win.
J-Lo was previously nominated for a Golden Globe for her starring role in Selina in 1998.
She's also now engaged to former MLB star Alex Rodriguez.
With the success of Hustlers, Lopez could soon have another chance at an Oscar nomination. She's so far scheduled to appear in a new romance movie titled Marry Me.
