Anna Paquin played "Sookie Stackhouse" in True Blood from 2008 to 2014. The amazing actress has been active in show business since the early 1990s, and much has been said about her professional career which also includes appearances in films like X-Men, Margaret, and most recently The Irishman.
But what about Anna Paquin's personal life? Did you know that the Canadian actress came out as bisexual in a very unique way? Let's find out more about it...
This is how Anna Paquin from True Blood came out as bisexual
In 2010 Anna Paquin participated in the Give a Damn campaign, as part of Cindy Lauper's True Colors Fund, an organization that promotes and supports LGBT equality. In a public service announcement for the campaign, Paquin appeared in a video coming out publicly as bisexual.
"I'm Anna Paquin. I'm bisexual, and I give a damn," she said. Later on, after being asked about her participation in the video, she said that "it wasn't like it was a big secret, it was just a cause I cared about and privately supported, but not one that I had ever had an opportunity to speak out about in a way that would be useful."
Anna Paquin has since then made clear her bisexuality is a choice. "My sexuality is not made up, for a bisexual, it's not about gender. That's not the deciding factor to who they're attracted to," she said during an interview with US Weekly in 2012. Anna has been married to actor Stephen Moyer since 2010. She has two children.
