Dr. Jill Biden enjoyed a special retreat on her 70th birthday with her husband Joe Biden.
The First Lady turned 70 years old today, and she spent the day on a romantic getaway with the President. For the special occasion, the Bidens travelled to their vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, a spokesperson confirmed to People.

So, Jill Biden's 70th birthday was spent at the beach with her longtime husband. A Biden spokesperson said, "She'll be in Rehoboth having a quiet day with the president."
They aren't expected to receive any guests during their time in Rehoboth, and it will be a brief stay as they'll be back in Washington on Friday. The Bidens have been married since 1977 and will also celebrate their 44th wedding anniversary on June 17.

In addition to the First Lady's birthday, June also marks five months in office for Joe Biden. The 46th President of the United States was inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2021, after defeating Donald Trump in his bid for reelection.
Today, it was also confirmed that President Biden's upcoming trip to the UK for the G7 summit 2021 will include a stop in Windsor to meet Queen Elizabeth II. On June 13, he'll become the 12th US President to meet the Queen.
