On New Year's Eve, it became known that actress Betty White died. Tragically, White passed away just days before her 100th birthday, which she would have celebrated on January 17th, but there are still big plans for her special day!

White to be honoured with special documentary

White was planning to celebrate her birthday with a new movie before her death, with a documentary about the actress also slated to be shown in movie theatres across America. Production company Fathom Events has now announced that the documentary will be shown on White's birthday as planned to honour her, even after her death.

Titled Betty White: A Celebration, the film will be a retrospective of the iconic star's life and career. "We will go forward with our plans to show the film on January 17 in hopes our film will provide a way for all who loved her to celebrate her life—and experience what made her such a national treasure," the company shared on their website.
