Known for her over-the-top parties and outrageous costumes, the queen of Hallowe'en, Heidi Klum, is revealing that she's the only one in her household that cares about the holiday as much as she does.
Klum is blowing away fans year after year on the night of horror with costumes that are perfected down to the last fake blood droplet or oozing guts, but it seems she is alone in her affinity for the celebration in her house, and at a book launch event reveals how she feels about the lack of enthusiasm!
Heidi Klum tries to pass the Halloween torch
Heidi Klum, who shares four children with her ex Seal, Leni, 17, Henry, 15, Johan, 14, and Lou, 12, tried to pass along the torch of her love for Halloween. But, it seems they want to leave it up to their mom!
Normally throwing a huge party on Hallowe'en night, this year Klum opted for a more homely version of the evening and hosted a party for her teenagers and their friends.
"I was hoping that I would pass this on even to my kids, but out of four, there's only one that really is going for it and that's Lou," she said, admitting that the teenagers hardly dressed up as anything.
Lou dressed up as her favourite Anime character with the "full-on makeup, the hair, all the accessories," which Klum said she was happy for.
"My other kids, they couldn't care less," she added. "So maybe it's because they've seen me their entire life and they're like, 'Oh, she's doing enough for all of us.' I don't know. I definitely did not give them that Hallowe'en bug."
"That's what I always miss about the next generation is the creativity, you know, but they want to be cool," she said, noting that she and her husband, Tom Kaulitz, made their own costumes from clothes around the house, and went as a cat and mouse.
"I'm like, 'Come on guys, have a little fun!'" she added, "Because also, this is where you can be your alter ego or where you can be the person that you wish you were."
Klum also shared a short film on her Instagram to commemorate the holiday.
