Hollywood hottie Halle Berry is getting honest about her worries being diabetic in a time of uncertainty, as the world is hit with a global pandemic.
Being a diabetic as the Coronavirus ravages through America, Berry admits she's nervous, and shares she keeps her social circles very small.
Halle Berry is not taking chances!
Halle Berry is being extra cautious as the world deals with the global pandemic. While most countries have the Coronavirus under control, the United States is still greatly affected, and Berry reveals how she handles the stress of it all while being a diabetic.
The Oscar-winner shares in an exclusive interview with Variety just how seriously she has been taking social distancing.
"I do feel at risk," Berry said, admitting her underlying condition has made this time challenging for her.
"I’m very strict about quarantining and who is in my bubble. We have a whole section of the house [where] when you go out in the world and buy something, it has to sit in this purgatory," she said.
Despite not being at risk for catching the virus, being a diabetic does increase her risk of complications, and even death, if she were to catch it.
Berry also shared in the interview that while filming John Wick 3, she ended up breaking three ribs during training.
Being confused as to why her bones broke so easily, Berry said she was terrified she had cancer, before realizing it was linked to her diabetes.
"I thought I had bone cancer," she said. "I thought it was early osteoporosis. I couldn’t understand why this was happening to me when I was really physically fit. I have a propensity to fracture bones faster than other people."
She also admitted that while she has been injured a few times while filming, she has always maintained it's important to just keep going.
"I compartmentalized that, and I just kept going: 'I’m not going to stop. I’ve come too far. I’m going to act as if this isn’t hurting. I’m going to will myself through it.' And so we did," she said.
