After a tragedy like this, it's tough to gather your thoughts. For many it's tough to respond. For others it's time to get going. As 'Good Morning America' reports, the hospitality industry has been mobilizing to jump in and support relief efforts following the devastating wildfires on Maui.

After so many have been displaced, it's heartwarming to see the world of celebrities lend a helping hand. World famous chef and Food Network star Guy Fieri announced plans for a star-studded culinary event this fall in wine country that will directly benefit the people of Maui.

Guy will be raising a lot of funds

His foundation will host the Chefs for Maui Fundraiser on October 21, 2023. The event will see over 20 award-winning chefs for a 15-course dining experience. This is an unbelievable offer for any foodie. Can you imagine the possibilities?

The event will cost $2,500 per ticket and will include "premium wines, chef interactions, live music, and auctions all to raise money for the exact relief supplies the communities of Maui need in support of disaster operations," the foundation stated on its website.

It's not often we get to see world class talent come together on a night like this. Guy has reportedly recruited an all-star team of to cook at the event including fellow Food Network stars, 'Top Chef' stars, local California restaurateurs and culinary activists, who will all be there to help support the Maui fundraising efforts!

As 'GMA' reports, Maui native, chef Lee Anne Wong, whose restaurant tragically burned down in the Lahaina fires, is listed by the Guy Fieri Foundation as one of the headliners. Fieri is known for his charitable work as well, having already helped to raise funds for displacement victims of the California wildfires in recent years.

His nonprofit said in its announcement for the Maui fundraiser that "all net proceeds will be distributed to the Food service Workers of Maui and The Salvation Army Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division."
