Guy Fieri just might end up playing an important role on Kristen Stewart's big day! On Thursday, Stewart talked about her recently announced engagement to fiancée Dylan Meyer while on the Today show, where she was also surprised by a special video of Fieri saying he'd be happy to officiate their wedding!
Fieri says he's "all in" for marrying Stewart and Meyer
Fieri is known for hosting popular Food Network shows such as Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. After sharing her happy news on The Howard Stern Show earlier this week, Stewart mentioned that he would be her choice for a wedding officiant. The actress said that Fieri "officiates a lot of gay weddings," and affectionately referred to him as a "sweet, sweet spikey headed man."
As it turns out, the restauranteur became aware of Stewart's request, and would be happy to have the honour of marrying the couple! "I've heard from the Flavortown grapevine that you're looking for a sweet, spikey-haired officiant for your wedding," Fieri said in a special video for Stewart, which was played during her appearance on the Today show. "I'm all in."
His message led to an enthusiastic response from Stewart, who said she would "absolutely" be down to have Fieri officiate the ceremony. After she jokingly asked the morning show's hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb where Fieri lives, she said that she thinks they "should talk about this." While Stewart's offhanded comment started out as a joke, we'll have to see if Fieri ends up making an appearance at her wedding!
