Born on July 14, 1960, Jane Lynch was born and raised in the state of Illinois. Her start in acting began on the stage, appearing in productions like The Real Live Brady Bunch with comedian Andy Richter, and was also even apart of a comedy troupe!

Her first film work was in the 1988 movie Vice Versa, having just a minor part. Yet, her next role would be alongside Harrison Ford in 1993's The Fugitive. From then on, she starred in a variety of films, including Collateral Damage (2002), The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006), and For Your Consideration (2006).
She had also made several television appearances starting from the early '90s in shows like: Married... with Children, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Frasier, Dharma & Greg and Judging Amy.

Her bigger roles in television began in the 2000's where she starred as a nurse in the medical drama MDs, as well as portraying a doctor in the comedy Two and a Half Men. She also played the schizophrenic mother of "Spencer Reid" in Criminal Minds!

From 2009–2015, Lynch starred as "Sue Sylvester" in the musical series Glee, where she was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award, Golden Globe, SAG Award, Satellite Award and a People's Choice Award for her outstanding yet villainous performance on the show.
Today, the successful actress has a total of five Emmy Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Golden Globe Award. Her most recent projects have been in the animated series Final Space and the new Netflix series Space Force. She's also been the star of the Amazon Prime series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, for which she and the rest of the cast recently won a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
Her next project is for the television film Fairy Tale Forest, which will also be starring Mel Brooks and Whoopi Goldberg! The film is based off of the Brothers Grimm fairytales. Her humor is always undeniable in any role she's given, so we're definitely looking forward for this film to come out already!
