Friday Night Lights was Taylor Kitsch's big break
In 2006, Kitsch got his big break when he was cast as the rough and handsome "Tim Riggins" on NBC's Friday Night Lights. The show centered around the life in the fictional town of Dillon in East Texas and specifically the local high school football team, the Dillon Panthers, in which "Riggins" played the position of fullback.
"Tim Riggins" was one of those characters whose bark was far worse than his bite - his famous catchphrase "Texas Forever" actually was one of the defining quotes of the show. Friday Night Lights aired from 2006 until 2011, Kitsch was part of all five seasons.
