'Glee's' Amber Riley Discusses Lea Michele Controversy: "I’m Not Going To Say That She’s Racist"
Glee producer weighing in on recent accusations
Former Glee producer Marti Noxon is weighing in on what really happened on the set of Glee following allegations that Lea Michele was "tormenting" her costars.
Noxon revealed that in light of the current allegations, she's disappointed that women are always so quick to be thrown under the bus. But at the same time, she doesn't have a problem with calling out bad behaviour.
"On Glee there were LOTS of bad actors. Who were NOT women. People in the industry know who I’m talking about. Why aren’t we calling them out?" she wrote on a now deleted tweet.
"It seems to me that women are the first to go under the bus," Noxon added.
"But a lot of males get away with being the bullies-in-chief. How come we let them get away with it? Maybe it’s because as long as they earn someone money, they get a pass,” she said.
After being asked which males in particular she was referring to, Noxon said she would leave that up to them to come forward and be allies.
Noxon's post came a few hours after Lea Michele publicly apologized for her past behaviour on set. Samantha Marie Ware called her out for "traumatic microaggressions" and making her time on set "a living hell."
However, since then, Noxon deleted her tweets. She shared that she felt she could have worded things better, and therefore took them down.

"When I said 'bad actors' in reference to my work on Glee - I was using the word actor as in 'people who took bad actions.' I wasn't referring to anybody on set specifically," she stated.
Fellow costar Heather Morris also confirmed that is was a challenge working with Michele, and Michele has responded to the clap back saying that "she will do better" in the future.
