Dance Moms Alumni Speaks Out Against Abby Lee Miller
Adriana Smith, proud mother of Kamryn Smith from season 8 of the hit Lifetime show Dance Moms has come forward with allegations of vicious racism from showrunner Abby Lee Miller. Abby Lee is known to be aggressive and prone to screaming so loud she reduces adults and children alike to tears.
Inspired by the Black Lives Matter Movement, Adriana has taken to social media to explain the unjustifiable horrors that have left Abby Lee Miller's mouth, all caught on camera but kept out of the shows edit. Adriana alleged that Abby would say demeaning and condescending things like "I know you grew up in the HOOD with only a box of 8 crayons, but I grew up in the country club with a box of 64... don't be stupid."
Smith added "Do you remember you told me, 'Do you want me to tell you why you are really here?' LOL as if I didn't know...again showing your superiority. Let me remind you what you said in case you forgot. You told me to 'LOOK in the MIRROR! That's the only reason you are here!' Kam told me she heard 'they need a sprinkle of colour!'"

While openly crying Smith looked to the camera and said "This is my EVERYDAY life as a black woman. This is nothing new to me. But what I'm not going to have happen is have this racist person have any part of my daughter's life as of this moment." E! News received a statement from another Dance Moms Alum backing up Adriana's claims saying "[Abby] tried to spin Kamryn as being the poor one and there on scholarship. I shut that down immediately. She loves appropriating our culture and never appreciating it. She did not give black choreographers on the show acknowledgment of their work. She continuously put Kamryn in afros."
Abby has yet to respond. Earlier in the week Abby participated in #BlackoutTuesday but has since deleted the post.
