Ultimately she was picked and had an incredible season, even controversially allowing past Bachelor Nick Viall to compete for her love and eventually becoming engaged to her winner Shawn Booth. Kaitlyn and Booth eventually broke off their engagement and through a chance meeting, Kaitlyn and Jason Tartick from Becca Kurfin's season met and have an incredibly successful relationship.

Now in her new podcast, Kaitlyn delves deep into her past and the struggles that eventually led her to the happy place she is in now. Hopeless romantic Kaitlyn had suffered serious depression after abandoning her dreams and goals to follow her old boyfriend. After the breakup between the two she reached out to doctors who prescribed her anti-depressants and Valium, the latter she ended up becoming heavily addicted to.
"I had become addicted to Valium and I was about 93 pounds and that is when somebody had to shake me and say you can't live like this, this is not you." Kaitlyn shares her story in hopes that fans will take with them what she learned along her journey like "You cannot make somebody responsible for your own happiness."
She also dished to Cosmopolitan that she is rooting for Bachelor Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan! Many were shocked by this considering that Peter has been so indecisive in his path to find love but Kaitlyn put it best: "They seem actually genuinely happy and a good match for each other. Sometimes it takes a weird path to get there, but they got there, and I'm into it."
No one could have said it better. Check out Kaitlyn's new podcast here!
