In March, drummer Taylor Hawkins passed away unexpectedly. Shortly before a performance by his band Foo Fighters, Taylor was found dead in his hotel room. Since then, his family had withdrawn from the public. But they've now made a first statement.
Taylor Hawkins' wife Alison speaks out after his death
On the Instagram page of the Foo Fighters, Taylor Hawkins' wife Alison shares touching words: "My deepest thanks and admiration go out to the global Foo Fighters community and Taylor's fans far and wide for the outpouring of love each and every one of you have shown our beloved Taylor."

Alison Hawkins goes on to write that Taylor loved his time with the band and enjoyed rocking out with the fans. "In celebration of his life, it is now up to all of us who loved him most to honor Taylor’s legacy and the music he gave us," she wrote.
At the end, Taylor Hawkins' widow thanks the fans once again. In addition to the touching statement, the band also revealed that there will be a series of concerts dedicated to Taylor in September.
The "Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert" will celebrate the life of the beloved drummer once again. He died at the age of just 50 in March.
