Felicity Huffman Wants To Work With Inmates - Following Her Prison Release

According to Entertainment Tonight, Felicity Huffman has plans to work with prison inmates following her own recent two-week stay behind bars. The actress is reportedly eager to help create initiatives and programs for incarcerated women.

Felicity Huffman just spend two weeks behind bars after admitting that she spent $15,000 to get her daughter Sophia into an elite college by cheating on her SATs. A source has now told ET that the actress "felt like the women in that facility were being discarded and left behind; they were forgotten. She loved the women there and bonded with them. When she left she felt guilty leaving them behind."

Felicity Huffman: 250 hours of community service

Ever since her release from prison on October 25, 2019, Huffman has begun one year of so-called supervised release. She has also started the 250 hours of community service that are part of her sentence. Right now, Huffman is "working as a tutor at The Teen Project, that rescues girls who are trafficked on the streets. She's been doing that for two years well before this case happened," the source further told ET.

The source continued: "She's been tutoring those girls two times a week for two years and this has been an amazing experience for her and her daughter. Felicity is not your average Hollywood actress."

After she was sentenced, Huffman accepted the court's decision and took responsibility for her actions. Her statement was as follows:

"I can promise you that in the months and years to come that I will try and live a more honest life, serve as a better role model for my daughters and family and continue to contribute my time and energies wherever I am needed. My hope now is that my family, my friends and my community will forgive me for my actions."
