Sophie Turner has never been shy about the fact that she suffers from depression and anxiety. The 'Game of Thrones' actress, who was married to Joe Jonas, once spoke with Dr. Phil about her issues. During the public interview, Turner told Dr. Phil that she would "cry and cry and cry over just getting changed and having to put on clothes and be like, 'I can't do this. I can't go outside. I have nothing that I want to do,'". Because of this, she's a huge advocate for therapy and self love.

The young pop star revealed that she's constantly suffered from mental health struggles, mostly depression and that it hasn't always been easy for her to navigate. She told Rolling Stone in 2019, "It doesn’t make you weak to ask for help. It doesn’t. It doesn’t make you weak to ask for a friend to go to a therapist. It shouldn’t make you feel weak to ask anyone for help."

These loved celebrities are paving the way for an accepting future for all struggling with mental health issues. Each of these cultural icons are working on ending the stigma surrounding mental health by being open and honest about their own struggles.
