Family Affair was one of the most acclaimed American sitcoms during the 1960's. The show tells the story of three orphans who suddenly have to grow up and live with their uncle. It aired on CBS from 1966 to 1971. We are sure that you probably remember some of the main characters like little "Cissy", portrayed by Kathy Garver. Kathy Garver, a very young talent
Ten years before her role as "Cissy" Kathy Garver was already on the big screen with an appearance in the epic religious drama film The Ten Commandments, where she played the role of a young slave girl. It was in 1966 when she became part of the cast of Family Affair at the age of 22, where she played a 15-year-old orphan who lives with her uncle and her two young siblings. She played that role for the entire series until it ended in 1971.
Kathy Garver: Behind the cameras
Kathy Garver has also worked as a dubbing artist for cartoons like Spider-Man and Scooby-Doo, she has been the voice of many other characters in shows like Tom & Jerry Kids, and has recorded several TV commercials as well as audio books. She produced, narrated, wrote and recorded eight Beatrix Potter stories that sold more than two million copies and won several prizes. From 2008 to 2012 she co-hosted the Comcast TV talk show Backstage! With Barry and Kathy.
