Born in Pennsylvania, Paul DiMeo is not only a carpenter, but also an actor, producer, and building designer. Little do many know, he was in an episode of the comedy series 3rd Rock from the Sun, as well as Jack & Jill before he became a hit TV personality on ABC's Extreme Makeover. He originally studied Theater Arts in college, but would later move to New York to work on his "Loft Living" project as a master carpenter, where he renovated lofts and brownstones.
DiMeo had small roles in sitcoms and appeared off-Broadway
DiMeo starred in all 9 seasons of Makeover, from 2003-2012, alongside host and fellow carpenter, Ty Pennington. As an avid fan of baseball, he's been active in attending and participating in Major League Baseball (MLB) events, and was even asked to design the exclusive MLB Fan Cave in 2011. A few years later, DiMeo would have his own construction series, Building Wild (2014) on National Geographic. It was cancelled after two seasons.

DiMeo now lives in Los Angeles, where he continues his career as a carpenter and general contractor. Lately, he has also been seen taking a Eurotrip with his lovely wife, visiting places like Barcelona and Paris.
It seems that DiMeo still hangs with his former Makeover co-stars!
With the new revival of the show expected to appear on HGTV in 2020, we're all wondering which members of the team will make a return to the home design channel. We're definitely anticipating Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson as the new host!
