At this year's Hamptons International Film Festival in New York, Demi Moore, 61, was honoured for her acting achievements. During the event, she also spoke about the health of her ex-husband, Bruce Willis, 69.
Demi Moore: Here's how Bruce Willis is currently doing
Despite his diagnosis of aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, Moore describes his condition as stable. “You know, I’ve said this before: the disease is what the disease is. And I think you have to be in real deep acceptance of what that is,” she explained to the audience, as reported by 'People.'
“But for where he’s at, he is stable,” she continued. In 2022, it was announced that Bruce Willis would end his career due to his illness, and since then, he has rarely been seen in public. This has strengthened the family bond even more.
Shortly before the festival, Moore visited Willis alongside her daughter Rumer, 36, and her granddaughter Louetta. The actress, who was married to Willis for 13 years, emphasises the importance of enjoying the moment and cherishing their time together.
She believes it is crucial to focus on the present rather than past memories: “What I always encourage is to just meet them where they’re at. When you’re holding on to what was, I think it’s a losing game.”
Moore added, “But when you show up to meet them where they’re at, there is great beauty and sweetness.”
