- Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are contributing
- They raised money and donated themselves
The war in Ukraine is getting worse by the day. Many people do not want to stand idly by and are making donations.
Now Ashton Kutcher, 44, and Mila Kunis, 38, have launched a GoFundMe campaign. Since March 3, the couple has been collecting donations for the people of Ukraine.

Mila Kunis herself is from Ukraine and is particularly passionate about the campaign. She explains on GoFundMe: "Today, I am a proud Ukrainian. While my family came to the United States in 1991, I was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine in 1983. Ukrainians are proud and brave people who deserve our help in their time of need."
Also interesting:
The celebrity couple is not only collecting donations but also giving their own money. Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis write about the campaign: "Our family is starting this fund to help provide immediate support and we will be matching up to $3 million dollars."
The campaign's goal of raising $30 million has already been exceeded. A total of approximately $34.5 million has been donated (as of March 18, 2022).
In their message, the couple also explain where the money will go: "The fund will benefit Flexport.org and Airbnb.org, two organizations who are actively on the ground providing immediate help to those who need it most." Flexport sends aid to Ukrainian refugees and Airbnb provides free accommodation.
Even though the fundraising goal has now been reached, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are continuing to support Ukraine.
