Dolly Parton, who recently premiered Netflix's Dolly Parton's Heartstrings was on Good Morning America and talked to Robin Robert about the history behind her tattoos. The 73-year-old doesn't reveal her arms in public very often as she is almost always seen wearing beautiful long-sleeved dresses and outfits.
Dolly Parton's Tattoos: "flowers or little butterflies"
"I got them to cover scars or things," the singer said. "If I have to get a scar for any reason, I never can kind of get rid of that purple look. So I thought, 'Well, I'm going to kind of decorate these with some flowers or little butterflies or whatever." It seems as though the famous country music star uses her ink as a sort of cover up!
This is not the first time that Dolly Parton has opened up about her tattoos. Back in 2014, she rejected rumours that she has "snake tattoos" all over her body, which ultimately put those rumours to rest.
