Born on January 15th, 2004, in Kansas, Grace VanderWaal has always been a talent, make sure to keep your eye on her. Grace has been singing and writing songs since she was 3 years old!
As she got older she would watch movies and attempt to imagine what the characters were feeling and then write a song according to what it would be like to feel like the characters. What a creative soul!

At one point she came across a Twenty One Pilots ukulele cover song and decided she was going to learn how to play the instrument. And she did! She taught herself how to play from watching YouTube Videos. Now the fun ukulele is a main part of her performances.
From America's Got Talent to Disney+, Grace VanderWaal Can Do It All
She was originally hoping to try out for American Idol but contestants had to be at least 15 years old, Grace was only 12 when the final American Idol Season auditioned. Her Mom saw her disappointment and signed her up for America's Got Talent without her knowledge. Thank goodness she did, Howie Mandel rang his "Golden Buzzer" on her first performance!
With her fun, catchy and meaningful original songs, VanderWaal won season 11 of America's Got Talent! She was the second female and one of the youngest winners in AGT history!
Since her Time on AGT she has been on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and The Wendy Williams Show. She has released two EP's and an album through Columbia Records, even working with famous Twenty One Pilots and Taylor Swift Producer, Greg Wells! She has also been the opening act on tours of both Imagine Dragons and Florence and the Machine!
She even landed a leading role in the 2020 Disney+ film, Stargirl, earning praise from critics for her genuine performance.
