Lady Diana

On August 31, 1997, Lady Diana met her tragic end in a car accident in Paris while being pursued by paparazzi. Despite being labeled as an accident, persistent conspiracy theories suggest that her demise was orchestrated by the British royal family due to their deteriorating relationship following her divorce from Prince Charles. Regardless of the truth, Diana had an unsettling premonition of the disaster. In a letter addressed to her lawyer Victor Mishcon in 1995, famously known as the "Mishcon Note," she eerily detailed the circumstances surrounding her impending demise. Within the letter, Diana mentioned being forewarned by "reliable sources" of a potential "staged car accident" that could result in her untimely demise or severe injury. Although many dismissed her concerns as paranoia or mental instability, tragically, her fears were ultimately justified.

Jimi Hendrix

Long before Jimi Hendrix rose to stardom, he had already captured his own mortality in a song titled "The Ballad of Jimi." Within the lyrics, he contemplated his eventual demise and expressed his belief that his legacy would endure even after his passing. Tragically, nearly five years later, Jimi Hendrix died from a drug overdose, aligning with the somber theme he had once sung about.

Kurt Cobain

When Kurt Cobain was just 14 years old, he reportedly confided in his classmates, sharing his aspirations of becoming a renowned rock star and meeting a similar fate to Jimi Hendrix - achieving wealth and fame, only to perish in a blaze of glory. Remarkably, both Hendrix and Cobain did indeed meet tragic ends at the age of 27, during the pinnacle of their musical careers.

Jim Morrison

Jim Morrison of The Doors often sang about death, and was said to have a gift for prediction: In 1969, he predicted the rise of electronic dance music. He was shocked when his friends and fellow rockers Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin died within a month of each other in 1970. The deaths of the two musicians at the age of 27 led to the naming of the infamous "Club 27." Morrison reportedly said to his friends one night, "You're drinking with Number 3, that's right, Number 3." Nine months later, Morrison died of a drug overdose in Paris at the age of 27. I wonder if he foresaw his own death that way.

James Dean

James Dean began racing cars shortly before his death. In an interview a few months before his passing, the actor said that he considered driving on the highway much more dangerous than driving on the race track. He said, "Drive carefully on the highway, the life you save could be my own." Shortly after, he was killed on a highway when another motorist suddenly crossed it, killing Dean. Another star also made creepy statements about his own death (see next picture).

Steve Irwin

Steve Irwin, widely known as the "Crocodile Hunter," gained fame as a renowned wildlife filmmaker before his untimely passing in 2006. Irwin had frequently expressed to his wife Terri that he didn't anticipate a long life and wished to meet his end while pursuing his passion. Poignantly, in his final days, Irwin was immersed in filming the documentary Ocean's Deadliest on the Great Barrier Reef. He had confided in Terri about his desire to scale back his television career and devote more time to their children. Sadly, tragedy struck during the filming when Irwin was fatally struck by a stingray.

Tupac Shakur

Tupac Shakur, a renowned rapper, met an untimely demise at a young age. Given his turbulent lifestyle, he often alluded to his own mortality. In one instance, when asked about his future in 15 years, he hauntingly replied, "In the cemetery." Additionally, a few months prior to his death, he released a song containing lyrics that eerily described being "shot and murdered" and being able to recount the details with precision. It is indeed unsettling to consider how accurate those words turned out to be, further adding to the mystique surrounding the rapper's tragic end.

Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. gave his last speech in Memphis on April 3, 1968, entitled "I Have Been to the Top of the Mountain." In his closing remarks, he said that he would like to live a long life, but that this was no longer his main concern. He told the crowd that difficult days lay ahead, "But I really don't care about that now, because I've been to the top of the mountain, and I don't mind.... And so tonight I am happy; I am not worried about anything; I am not afraid of anyone. My eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord." The next day he fell victim to an assassination attempt.

People known for their creativity are often surrounded by a dark aura. The image of the tormented artist may seem a cliché, but it is by no means unfounded.
