Demi Moore's Movies: Her Career In Pictures

Demi Moore was born Demi Gene Guynes on November 11, 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico. At the young age of 16, she had decided to move out of her parent's house and drop out of high school to pursue a career in acting. By the age of 17, she began drama classes.

A few years later in 1982, Demi Moore played the role "Jackie Templeton" in the soap opera, ‘General Hospital.’ This was her first breakthrough to stardom, and she remained a cast member until 1983. The following year she would star in two film comedies: ‘Blame It on Rio’ and ‘No Small Affair.’

What brought Moore international recognition was the 1985 film, ‘St. Elmo's Fire.’ This starred Emilio Estevez, Robe Lowe, and Judd Nelson and was the beginning of the infamous 'Brat Pack' crew of the '80s. During this era, Moore was also engaged to Estevez until they called off their wedding in 1986.

‘Ghost’ was one of Moore's most successful films, grossing over $505.7 million, thus making it the high-grossing film of 1990. She starred alongside the iconic Patrick Swayze and Whoopi Goldberg. The film was nominated for 5 Academy Awards, winning two of them (Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Screenplay).

Then in 1992, Moore played "Lieutenant Commander JoAnne Galloway" in the film ‘A Few Good Men.’ The film had a long lineup of A-star actors, including Kevin Bacon, Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise. The film was also nominated for 4 Oscars.

One of Demi Moore's most recognized role's is in the 1997 film, ‘G.I. Jane.’ She famously shaved her head for one particular scene in the movie, and she rocked it. Moore also (clearly!) trained intensively in both martial arts and cardio for the part.

Something most people don't know: Demi Moore was an executive producer for all three ‘Austin Power’ films. Although she worked behind the camera, these fan-favorite films were all hits.

Moore returned to the big screen in 2003 with the femme-fatale film, ‘Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.’ She starred alongside the popular trio of Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz for the sequel of the film.

In 2017, Moore starred in the comedy ‘Rough Night’ with Zoë Kravitz, Ty Burrell and Scarlett Johansson. With her talent, beauty, and charm, Demi can accomplish anything in Hollywood! We hope to see more of her in the upcoming years!

At the beggining of this year, Moore joined the cast of the hit anthology series Feud. In this season, titled 'Feud: Capote’s Women,' Moore portrayed "Ann Woodward," a high-society figure caught in a scandalous murder case. Her compelling performance received critical acclaim for its depth and complexity, with Moore expertly capturing the intense emotions of the character.
