Lovato identifies as sexually fluid and while talking to Andy she said, "I didn’t officially tell my parents that I saw myself ending up possibly with a woman until 2017." When asked about how it went, she answered: "It was actually emotional, but really beautiful. After everything was done, I was like shaking and crying. I just felt overwhelmed. I have such incredible parents. They were so supportive."

As it turns out, her dad already knew based on her lyrics for the song "Cool for the Summer", but it was her mom she was more nervous to tell. However it went better than she could have hoped with her mom saying, "'I just want you to be happy.' And that was so beautiful and amazing. I’m so grateful," the singer continued.
Demi also touched on the topic of starting a family saying she doesn't know if it will be this year or ten years from now or if she will have kids with a partner or on her own. One thing is for sure, children are definitely in her future! We are so proud of Demi for breaking barriers and staying strong!
